I loved this place. Perfect old diner with good diner food and friendly staff. Will go again if I'm in the area.

After reading reviews about this place we decided we had to give it a try. While the food was average, I wasn't blown away by the dining layout concept.
In order to maximize space, the diner is set up using long tables, each which can hold, perhaps 20 ppl. (10 per side). While this works great for larger parties, it provides zero privacy for smaller groups or couples. On the day we were there, we had to sit next to strangers, and could clearly hear their conversation, as well as their lack of closing their mouths when they chewed their food. The gentleman next to me sneezed, without covering his nose/mouth and food particles sprayed the table. Yikes.
I did order the sausage for bkfst (with eggs and toast) and it was very good (the sausage was spicy and had a great flavour).
Despite the decent meal, I haven't been back due to memories of the first visit. -

Good little diner, with a decent breakfast that my wife and I ordered. The problem started at checkout. I walked to the register, a lady was waiting and informed me of the total cost . I showed her my card and was told that it was cash only! Being from the U.S. I only had American currency, I asked about a conversion, and was abruptly told, it is all the same!! Well I knew better, and didn't want to make a scene. Until now. Love the area,and will be back, but not to this establishment!

Best breakfast in Leamington! Step back into another time period when you enter Gaspard's Cafe. Order the homemade sausage; it's amazing! This is an old-fashioned, down home, mom and pop spot. A bunch of seniors congregate here for morning coffee. It's a great scene. Come get some! Cash only!
